Channel 4 News Has Appointed Siobhan Kennedy As Its New Business Correspondent
Siobhan joins Channel 4 News from the Times where she's currently Politics andBusiness correspondent, based at Westminster.

Before joining the Times' Westminster team Siobhan worked for the Times' Businesssection as Mergers and Private Equity Correspondent - an investigative role where she quickly made her mark breaking big deal stories including exclusively reporting that Richard Branson's Virgin had submitted a proposal to buy Northern Rock.Prior to The Times, Siobhan worked for Reuters heading the team covering mergers,banking and the City.
Previously based in New York for five years, she covered the Internet boom and bustincluding the collapse of some of America's biggest companies including World comand Global Crossing. Siobhan was also one of the first reporters on the scene forReuters during the 9/11 terror attacks and won plaudits for her range of stories inthe aftermath of the crisis.

Siobhan's coverage of the private equity sector earned her the British Venture CapitalAssociation's award for best national newspaper journalist in 2007. Siobhan will jointhe team later in the autumn.
