IRN, the UK's leading news and content provider for commercial radio, has won a new contract to provide news for Bristol's newest commercial radio station Original 106.5 FM.
The Bristol licence was snapped up by the Canadian media group CanWest MediaWorks Inc. who launched the Original brand in Southampton last year. The service launches this Sunday May 20. Original 106.5 FM will offer a mix of speech and rock music aimed at the male ABC1 demographic in the Bristol area.

On announcing the IRN contract he said: 'IRN is just right for us with its up to the minute audio and years of experience in commercial radio. IRN consistently deliver high quality journalism and it is a perfect fit for our station.'
John Perkins, Managing Director of IRN said: 'It's fantastic news that CanWest chose us as their news supplier for the Original 106.5 in Bristol. We look forward to building our relationship with CanWest and delivering national news to Original 106.5 listeners around the clock.'
