Working at ITN

ITN is best known for its award-winning news programming produced for the UK's biggest commercial broadcasters ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. In addition to traditional news-gathering, ITN operates a portfolio of complementary, dynamic businesses, each delivering its clients high-end, bespoke multimedia content services.

Our moving footage business ITN Source syndicates footage to global clients through online and traditional sales; our production arm ITN Productions creates multi-platform news, entertainment, factual and corporate content for customers the world over.

Our wide-ranging expertise in all areas of the content business, coupled with experience of creating programming in a host of multimedia formats, means we are able to offer our staff a broad range of opportunities - from production and technology to sales and communications.

People

The key to ITN's success is its talented and committed workforce. Our business is built on the creative flair, skills and energy of our people working together to achieve the highest standards: from the developer who built ITN's popular iPhone news application, to the linesmen who wired our Beijing bureau; from the crews who gather news in the field, to the ITN Source teams who license our archive around the world.

We expect our people to be adaptable, fleet of foot and willing to challenge themselves to think in new ways, constantly seeking to improve on current methods and products.

At ITN we are committed to having a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce. We are active members of the Cultural Diversity Network, which provides a platform for collective action on the key issues affecting diversity in the media. We have also worked closely with educational institutions to improve access to the newsroom environment, and a number of staff mentor students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
